We are up and running again this Summer at Tam High School, except this year we have more teams and more games. By clicking on this link you can find all rosters, schedules and rules. We hope and encourage the public to come down and watch some great games, the kids can pick up some real pointers on how to play the right way from college level and former professional level players!
Jerry Mac Summer League 2008
The first annual Jerry McIntosh Summer League wrapped-up in mid-August with the Olympic Club of San Francisco crowned the champion. Held at TamalpaisHigh School in Mill Valley (Jerry Mac’s alma mater), six teams from around the Bay Area came together and competed fiercely in honor of their fallen friend. Head referee Ruben Candelaria did a fantastic job of keeping order on the court and in leading a prayer for Jerry on opening night. While the Tam High gym was a little difficult to reach because of summer construction, the Jerry Mac Fund organizers are looking forward to an improved facility in future summers with more teams and increased support from the community. We’ll be pitching local businesses in 2009 to sponsor the league and help defer costs for participants…..and potentially add some money to the Jerry Mac Fund bank account. Thanks again to each team that participated in the league, to our friend and head referee Ruben Candelaria, to our focused scorekeeper Scotty Wickham and to our facilities manager, Ralph Wilson.
